1971 810 scout II

I have a 1980 scout II that is titled as a 1971 scout 810...it has 71 hood,grill,lights,and dash...has 810 sticker in glove box...the scout was a diesel but someone changed it over to a 258 6 cylinder it has a Dana 300 transfer case and either a t18 or t19 transmission ...will run has been parked...used it as a play toy...located in upstate south Carolina.....make offer

It is a 1980 model scout II...it had a diesel in it...its just titled as a 1971....

Oh, too bad. I was just there last weekend, stopped in Greenville on my way home from Atlanta.

Saving my cash for a trip to Charlotte on April 19-22. Big auto show that weekend.

If I understand you right, you have a 1980 scout frame and running gear with a 71 body and engine. You don't know if the transmission is from the diesel or from the 71, but you think the transfer case is from the 1980. It's titled as a 71 because that's the body you have on it. It may only be the front clip instead of the whole body, but the glove box sticker is for the 71.

My guess is that the serial numbers won't match if that's the case. You may want to be careful who buys it. Some states check the serial number on the frame.
