I haven't been around for a few years and couldn't remember my user name or pass word, so decided to start new. I sure hope that isn't a problem for anyone, I wasn't restricted or anything like that just kind of drifted away. I have a 1966 Scout with a 152 and would like to upgrade the ignition system, thinking about a Pertronix. Been getting hard to start, seems to have lost some power.
The distributer cap is shaped a lot like a Delco but does not have the point adjustment window. Looking at the Service Manual it appears to be the IH model 1510. Any and all help so I can get the right system will be greatly appreciated. Jim.

Like I said I used to come here quite often and it seems like there were pictures that showed the different kinds of distributers among other things. I can't seem to find anything like that. I did look up some old notes of mine and found the NAPA cap for mine. the part no. is FA86 and roter FA85.

Hopefully this will help someone id mine, thanks again, Jim.

The pics are all gone cause the site was redone like 6-12 months ago from what ive heard. Wish i could help you but Ive only owned scout 2's hah, don't know jack about Scout 80's,800,s or just "scouts" in general.\

My 2 cents, call super scout specialists and also post on "justih.org" as they are more centered towards the older scouts.

The BB you knew turned into Binder Planet awhile age. Most of the info and pictures are there and if you can remember it your old user name and password it should work over there.
