Hello all, I recently purchased a really solid 1955 (I think) R-102 and it has the solid back window and a factory automatic transmission with the original instructions on how to operate it still on the dash. I cannot find any info on this truck, I didn't even know that these trucks were made with autos. Is it a Ford-O-Matic transmission? Please advise with any links or info on this pick-up. Thanks.

Here's a sketch of the Ford-O-Matic:

You might have a Detroit Gear transmission, though. They're called the 3-band and were designed by Studebaker. I think Borg-Warner eventually bought Detroit Gear, so later ones should have the BW logo on the ID tag. Jaguar used them, so parts are still available.
