if i have a 345 with a manual tranny and wanted to swap to and auto would the 345 auto bolt right up to my motor

yes it would just as long as its from and 304-345-392 it will fit. you will need the spacer that goes on the starter and several other items flex plate torque converter the right radiator or trans cooler put in. shifter and cable good kuck
