Trying to ID a truck

Hi, I found an old International Harvester badly mangled back in the bush and I am trying to find out what sort of truck it is. The model is a D2-213 125. Does anyone know what this truck is or what it is supposed to look like? It's got a few trees lying across it right now and is buried in quite a bit of snow so it's hard to tell.

I believe D2 is a model from the 30s or early 40s, maybe a 3/4 ton.

I also believe the GD213 was the most common small gas engine at the time for IH. Without looking it up, I would say it's likely you have a D2 with a GD (green diamond) 213 engine.

Try www.oldihc.org and ask the guys there. They will know.

Thanks Allan, I'll check out that link. The information tag on the truck says that it is a 1/2 ton and it has a straight six in it. When the snow melts I'll check it out some more. It looks like it was a panel van and not a pickup. Anyway, thanks again!
