Hi. I am new to this site and looking for parts help. I have a 1974 200 4x4 dual wheel dump. I am looking for the front and rear e-brake cables and brake shoes. Also, does anyone have an idea on brake conversion kits to get these to Ford, Chevy, Dodge brakes, drums, etc.? I read somewhere that 70's Dodge truck might have compatible brake parts, but I can't confirm that.
thanks for any help!

The chevy front axles swap straight across. Rear... might need to move the spring perches on the axle. Shouldn't be too hard to grind and weld new perches if necessary.
The IH rotors are hard to find. So are the drums. Superscoutspecialists was selling rotors a few years back, machined from dodge rotors. Don't know, but somebody sells them. BCB, IHOnly, somebody. Just try all the light line dealers. Shoes are available at all the parts stores, but you need to know if it's the 2.5 or 3 inch. Drums are the same for both sizes. You have to look, though, or have the line set ticket.
The 200 came all the way up to 2 ton, so you'll want to get a little more specific when you try to order parts. Axle size is usually how they do it. Most dually 200s were 1 ton to 2 ton. After that, they went to the 500 model, nothing in between. It was all about options. . . then they just gave up...

Thanks Allen E. Surprisingly, I found many brake shoes on rockauto. The other part stores like Advance, AutoZone, etc., didn't have them. Do you know how I can tell whether my truck is a 1 ton or 2? The guy I bought it from told me 1 ton, but I am not totally sure. Is there any way to tell what size the shoes are, 2 1/2 or 3", before getting the wheels and drums off?
I think I am going to have inlinetube.com make me the e-brake cables. I have called and checked online at superscout specialists, scoutparts/travellall, and Ih Only. No luck. If anyone knows of a company that's better than inlinetube, please let me know. I think I'll just keep the IH brake drum setup, if I can find new drums. Problem is, I took this truck to a shop and they couldn't even get the drums off... Ugh! the brakes seems to work ok, but an inspection due date is pressing me to make sure the drums and shoes are in good shape.
Again, I read somewhere on a forum that a 70's Dodge truck (maybe a similar 1 ton?) that used the same brake drum and shoes as this 200. I wish I knew how to cross reference the parts to see which Dodge models might be interchangeable.
Speaking of cross referencing of parts, I searched and this was the only thread I came to. I have heard other vehicles out there have cross reference books so you can more easily pick up parts, is there one for the Scout II?

As far as I know only Dodge used the D70F other than International. I am not aware that GM ever used this axle on its 1 ton 4x4, could be wrong. I believe the flexible lines are the same as are the front cylinders. IDK about the drums. I have had my shoes relined locally for under $50. Be aware that IHC also used a D70HDF on its Loadstars which does not cross with D70F found in 1 ton IHC trucks. For example, the D70HDF uses 14" drums and 2 cylinders per side.....etc. D70F parts are becoming harder to source.
Your 200HD is a 1 ton. The model 500 is considered a 1.5 ton. There is also a 3/4 ton 200. There is no model 300.
EDIT: Dodge switched to a disc brake D60F sometime in the early 70s. I have one off a 1976 300 Power Wagon. Of course, these parts will not work on a D70F.

I'm thinking he probably has drums all the way around.
