This is going to seem like a dumb question. The transmission is in a 67 Travelall 1200 with a v8. 4 speed manual with a very low first gear. I think it is a T18. I need to change the fluid in it. So I slide under it to start pumping out the old fluid and all of the bolts on the side look the same. Where is the filler hole located? I tried to get some pictures but they didn't turn out. I thought it was on the passenger side about 3/4 of the way up.
Thanks.

If it's anything like the T-19, it's the bolt with the square head, not a hex head.

it should be on the passinger side 3/4 of the way up on the tranny it should be 11/16 or 3/4 square plug try not to use a cresent wrench it might round it off.

The 4 speeds on travelalls for that period were BW T98. Use straight 50 wt oil or 90 wt gear oil. DO NOT use GL5. My preference in cold country is 20w50, but in areas where it does not get below freezing, straight 50 wt is better.
There are two plugs, a fill and a drain, just like on the t-case. There may be a magnet attached to the drain plug. If so, it will hang up when you remove it. CAREFULLY wiggle it out and clean off the magnetic filings. When you put it back, if there is not a magnet, put a rare earth magnet, as big as you can find, on or near the drain plug. The amount of filings you pick up out of the oil when you drain it will amaze you.
The magnetic plugs can be found in old industrial grade (medium duty) truck transmissions. The threads on the drain plugs are usually the same. Worth doing.
